Jonbiri – Traditional Assamese Crescent Pendants

The Jonbiri is the best-known ornament of Assam: a crescent-moon pendant, usually set with ruby-red or emerald-green stones and finished with fine filigree along the curve. It is worn with mekhela sador for Bihu, gifted to brides, and paired with Gamkharu bangles and Keru earrings to complete the traditional Assamese look.
